Description

Santa Maria is a streamlined civilization building game. Place building tokens on your colony board, then activate the buildings using dice. Each die activates the buildings in a row or a column, but only as many as the number shown on the die. You then place the die on the last active building to block that space. Therefore it is very important how you place your buildings early on and how you use your dice. As the game progresses you produce resources, form trade routes, send out conquistadors, and improve religion with monks, who can become either a scholar, a missionary, or a bishop. After three rounds the player who has accumulated the most happiness points wins.
